Job Description Summary
This position serves as an internal consultant, designer, and facilitator for training and organizational development initiatives. The person in this role will diagnose training and organizational development needs in conjunction with the development and implementation of training and human resource development processes and systems. The position works collaboratively with leaders and teams throughout Mexico to develop initiatives that maintain and advance organizational learning.
Primary duties and responsibilities
Establish a strong working relationship with the leaders in Mexico to create a collaborative approach for the design and implementation of training and organizational development initiatives.
Collaborate with Plant Managers and Senior leaders in Mexico to provide flexible training formats and schedules that support organizational learning, as well as established production schedules.
Diagnose the gaps between the desired level of organizational and leadership effectiveness and the actual level of performance; design, develop, and implement programs to close identified gaps.
Ensure the linkage of training and development programs to corporate goals and strategic direction. Develop and implement programs to improve organizational effectiveness e.g. leadership coaching.
Provide training consultation to all organizational levels, including needs assessment, curriculum design, quality control, scheduling, program delivery, and program evaluation.
Collaborate with the HR Team to diagnose, design, and implement training and development opportunities.
Diagnose, develop, and implement strategies that produce individual development and organizational change. Build and maintain buy-in with all parties affected by the change.
Provide assistance in the selection and evaluation of external training vendors.
Develop and implement processes to gather data for the purpose of organizational improvements including focus groups and surveys.
Assist in the design and implementation of talent management programs such as succession planning and performance management.
Facilitate training programs in the area of leadership development, team building, organizational development, and other areas that are priorities for the company.
Independently manage Training and Organizational Development related initiatives and projects in Mexico, from research and development through implementation.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or equivalent required. Masters Degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or equivalent is preferred.
Certification as a trainer by Achieve Global, DDI, or equivalent is preferred.
Experience
5-8 years experience including organizational development initiates, training design and delivery, and developing business relationships with internal customers.
Experience as an internal consultant, providing Human Resources, Organizational Development and Training design and delivery.
Experience in performance management, succession planning, and leadership coaching.
Must be fluent in English and Spanish (Mexico).
Proficient in the use of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Working conditions
· Normal office environment, cubicle setting.
· Travel required approximately 35%.
· The position will be located in Durango with frequent trips to Penjamo and Irapuato.
