Role & Responsibilities. Reporting to the Managing Director of Yahoo! Mobile Latinoamérica, this person will be responsible for developing and maturing relationships with mobile operators, device manufacturers and other strategic partners across Mexico and satellite markets. The focus of the role will be to grow these relationships and maximize awareness, traffic, revenues and, ultimately, profit. In essence, each of these partnerships will be ‘mini-businesses’ in their own right and will need servicing with product, marketing, technical and other support in order to meet the shared commercial objectives of Yahoo! and the partner organization: • Developing and implementing the general partner management methodology, and then customizing this on a case-by-case basis to fit individual partnerships. • Developing appropriate strategic partnership plans, to maximize partner and user engagement, revenues and profits. Ensuring that all plans feed in to the overall business plan for Yahoo for the region. • Drive each account in accordance with its plan, with particular regard to: • Marketing - develop joint marketing plans to drive awareness and take-up of services with the partners’ subscribers. • Product - develop account-specific product roadmaps and ensure that the user experience for the partnership is optimal. Ensure that the partnership has appropriate product and services. • Engineering - ensuring that the partnership receives sufficient engineering support in order to meet its commercial objectives. • Act as ‘the voice of the customer’ within the account, feeding back market requirements into the wider Yahoo organization. Within the first 12 months the successful candidate will have established a true strategic partnership. He or she will have finalized the appropriate commercial plans, developed the partnership methodology and have rolled these out, and their associated account teams, to partners. This, in turn, should have begun to deliver tangible results in terms of awareness, traffic and revenues etc. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be an outstanding relationship builder who has experience of managing and growing strategic partnerships, ideally in the digital content arena. He or she is likely to have an account management background but will also have a strong appreciation of product and marketing. He or she will understand new technology and how it is effecting the consumption of media. In keeping with this he or she will also be used to thinking about ‘the user experience.’ The ideal candidate will also have good knowledge of telecoms, particularly mobile and broadband services. A familiarity with mobile devices would also be a benefit. He or she will also have experience of growing businesses from their infancy. Local (Mexico) experience is a must. On a personal level, the ideal candidate needs to be bright and engaging. However he or she will also need to be direct and be able to produce results in a short period of time. Moreover, the individual needs to operate effectively within Yahoo’s! matrix environment and its unique culture, sharing its values of entrepreneurialism, dynamism and integrity. Above all this person must have a can do attitude and be autonomous. Minimum Job Qualifications • 5+ years experience in Partnership Management, Product Management or Product Marketing, including at least 3 years related to mobile applications and mobile handsets, ideally with a major handset vendor or mobile carrier • Demonstrated skills in managing partnerships, interfacing with working teams through to senior levels • Extensive experience in working in cross-cultural, multi-national environments interfacing with multiple cross-functional stakeholders (Product management, Marketing, Business Development, Legal, Engineering, Finance, etc.) • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills • Excellent analytical, planning and decision making skills • Solid understanding of the mobile data services and market trends; familiarity with handset vendor manufacturing a plus • MBA preferable • Fluent English required; Portuguese a plus Salario: de $50,000 a $70,000 pesos mensuales Comienzo: Marzo 2010 Solicitudes: Envíar currículum por correo electrónico Empresa: Yahoo! de Mexico Contacto: Representate de Recursos Humanos
